چکیده

Abstract A broad scope of crop models with varying demands on data inputs is being used for several purposes, such as possible adaptation strategies to control climate change impacts future production, management decisions, and policies. constant challenge model simulation, especially performance projections impact studies under varied conditions, the unavailability reliable historical calibrations. In some cases, available input may not be in quantity quality needed drive most models. Even when a suitable choice simulation selected, limitations hamper models’ effective role projections. To date, no review has looked at factors inhibiting use complementary sources South Africa. This barriers relevant from which can sourced, proposed framework collecting data. Results showed that simulations exist because, instances, data, like climate, soil, farm practices, cultivar characteristics, were generally incomplete, poor quality, easily accessible or usable. We advocate hybrid approach obtaining calibration validation. Recommended methods depending intended outputs end results include remote sensing, field, greenhouse experiments, secondary engaging farmers actual on-farm conditions. Thus, employing more than one method collection reduce challenges faced by modellers due The modelling depends goodness availability readiness cooperate modularity standardization, potential user groups’ ability communicate.

Projected climate change threatens pollinators and crop production in Brazil

Animal pollination can impact food security since many crops depend on pollinators to produce fruits and seeds. However, the effects of projected climate change on crop pollinators and therefore on crop production are still unclear, especially for wild pollinators and aggregate community responses. Using species distributional modeling, we assessed the effects of climate change on the geographi...

Projected Scenarios for Coastal First Nations’ Fisheries Catch Potential under Climate Change: Management Challenges and Opportunities

Studies have demonstrated ways in which climate-related shifts in the distributions and relative abundances of marine species are expected to alter the dynamics and catch potential of global fisheries. While these studies assess impacts on large-scale commercial fisheries, few efforts have been made to quantitatively project impacts on small-scale subsistence and commercial fisheries that are e...

Simulation of rice production under climate change scenarios in the Southern coasts of Caspian Sea

Climate change has direct and indirect consequences on crop production and food security. Agriculture and cropproduction is one of the factors which depend on the weather conditions and it provides the human requirements inmany aspects. The objective of this study is to assess the impacts of future climatic change on irrigated rice yieldusing the CERES-Rice model in the Southern Coast of Caspia...
